I am NOT a subscriber to the “No pain no gain” motto
People have vastly different pain tolerance. I adjust the pressure to cater to every individual accordingly to what they can tolerate. Remedial massage often focuses on releasing the deep tissue and therefore can be painful. This can still be a relaxing experience. Too much pain can prevent muscles from relaxing which is counter productive.
